Media center error

When i open media center i get a error saying

Ehshell.exe application error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Click on OK to terminate the application.

is there a way to fix this error

iv tried doing a system restore but that made other non needed programs error

and no help topics have helped

Have you installed MCE via porting on non-MCE Windows Xp or using original MCE disc???

That error is either "STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_FORMAT" or "ERROR_INVALID_NAME", and guessing from the sound of when it happens I'd say it's the former. Something didn't install properly, and if doing a repair install makes other apps break, it sounds like you need to do a clean install from the MCE disc you got from the vendor or the store.
