arfett Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 (edited) As the title suggests, when I use the 'bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS' it does not actually work. When I type bcdedit.exe I can see that the setting took effect and it's right there in the loadoption area, but the signature checks still take place after a reboot unless I use the F8 method. Is there any particular reason why this would not be working for me? Edited September 11, 2007 by arfett
Viz Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 You do not specify the OS...but if is x64, the cause is KB932596 hotfix - uninstall this to have DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS option enabled.
arfett Posted September 11, 2007 Author Posted September 11, 2007 I do not install that hotfix. Even if I tried it will not install. Right now I'm on a fresh install with no attempt made at installing that hotfix. x64 is in my sig, but sorry for not mentioning it as I know a lot of people don't look at sigs.
