Rayza
I'm developing a website with Dreamweaver CS3 using ASP and an Access database. I'm testing it locally on my Vista pc (Vista Home Premium). The pages display fine until i put the code in to access the database and i get an error: "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error". I know that the access to the database work, cos i can pull the information while working with Dreamweaver. I've ported the whole website as is over to an XP PC and it works fine, with changes at all. This seems to me as though it's a permissions problem, but i'm not sure where to look.... fizban2
how are you connecting to the DB? IIS 7 handles your DB connections different then 6.0 does. are you hard coding a specific odbc connection for this? or what is the connection string/type you are using? SQL? access? what version of access as well
Rayza
I'm using a System DSN to connect to the Access Database (MS Office 2003), and then in Dreamweaver it automatically adds in the code when you select the DSN
