sonnet Posted August 24, 2007 Share Posted August 24, 2007 Hi I have just a question about vlite images,as I remove a lot of things I'm not sure what to do with the update.As an example,I removed Internet Explorer 7,but I kept HTML Engine which is used by Maxthon as web engine.Should I install the updates regarding Internet Explorer?If I use the pre-release of the service pack 1,what would happen?I mean this pre-release as other updates packages contains all the updates regarding Windows and in which you can't choose which updates install and which not,what happens with the updatesregarding components that I removed?Are installed anyway?It would generates any kind of error or problem?I hope my question are clear. nuhi Posted August 25, 2007 Share Posted August 25, 2007 Hotfixes which don't find needed components will fail to install, meaning skipped.Yes install IE hotfixes even if you're using Maxthon.Don't play with SP1 until it's at least public beta.
