chr0nz Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 well i made a custom image of my windows with ie7 included i noticed that when i open windows live mail from messenger or start menu it opens the old ie6 window and my default browser. it doesn't load anything in the ie6 window but it bugs me i just want it to open in firefox or ie7 perferably firefox. any reason why or how to stop this from happening or removing ie6 completely?
gosh Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 in inetcpl.cpl change the default mail client, or you can do that through add/remove programers under the configure programs tab.-gosh

gosh Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 IE processes urls using urlmon.dll. You could simply try unregistering it using regsvr32 /u c:\windows\system32\urlmon.dll-gosh
