Noob needs help

I looked though the forum but can't find my answer. What are the windows installation files it's looking for? Is it not the windows folder on the HD?

Or

Do I need the install DVD with the files? I have a new laptop it dosen't have a install DVD I had to create two recovery disk. Will it work with those recovery disks I made? Is this the same as XPlite.
