Problem installing windows component

Hi

when i tried installing a new window component from the Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs

the following error has appeared.

"Another copy of the installation program is executing.

wait untill the installation finishes before executing again that program".

there is no installation running.

is there somebody who knows a solution.
