Hausi Posted January 23, 2002 Posted January 23, 2002 Hi all.I'm looking for somebody who is writing a Freeware-Driver with API, which can be used to communicate with a Sony DV-Cam (e.g. TRV125) using the LANC-Protocol (Remote-Control, DV-IN, etc.)- There are many instructions, how to build a wire (LPT1-LANC), eg. on http://www.coastweb.de/dv/- There are many descriptions of the LANC-Protocol, e.g.http://www.ecn.purdue.edu/~laird/electronics/Sony/protocols/- There are some people, already writing some stuff for OS/WINx (see. http://www.coastweb.de/dv/)... ...e.g. mailto:H-Wagner@gmx.net which wrote RM95EMUL, RM93EMGY and RM95DUMP (incl. Assembler Source Code)But there is no Freeware running on Windows 2000 / XP, because nobody has written the timecritical part yet, to send LANC-Datagrams over the Pin 17 (SEL) of LPT1 (as described on http://www.ecn.purdue.edu/~laird/electroni...rotocols/raw)... it must be possible, because on dv-in.de ist a pgm. called Lremote 7.0 which can do this (but only for DV-IN)....If such a freeware-driver with a documented API would be available, many people would write nice tools to make the live of home-video-editors easyer - and I think, the Programmer would become a good place in the "Hall of fames"...Thanks in advanceHausi
