I'm having problems installing IE7, first of all I have a genuine xp.

All other update are installed fine but every time the installation end I get a message saying INSTALLATION FAILED PLEASE REBOOT.

All solution I found on Microsoft site didn't work.

Someone has a solution for this ?

Thanks in advance ,

Two things you could try - if you haven't allready.

For buth attempts you need to extract all the files to a folder (I just use WinRAR for that, but I think there is a command-line switch to do this without any 3rd party software too).

The first method I have used before, and beleive it or not has worked on some system that would not install it the "Normal" way).

1.) Go in to the sub-folder updat of the folder you just extracted everything to.

2.) Run iesetup.exe

Second method, I have not personally tried, but have heard it works a lot of times

1.) Go in to the sub-folder updat of the folder you just extracted everything to.

2.) Run update.exe

3.) restart your system.

4.) go back in to that update Sub-Folder of the IE7 extracted files.

5.) run xmllitesetup.exe.

That's about all I can think of to even try.
