khansonno3 Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Hi --Just documenting a hard-won fix I made...The issue I had was, on starting Outlook, an endless succession of dialogs "A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this?" The only way to stop the succession was to kill off Outlook using Task Manager. After web research and various attempted fixes, this apparently did the trick:I uninstalled a program called OutlookAddinSetup via Control Panel. This splendid little OutlookAddinSetup program came pre-installed on my new Dell. Thanks Dell!Outlook 2002 with XP SP 3 and all Office UpdatesVista PremiumDell 1720I couldn't find this exact recipe anyplace on the web so now we've got one.
tain Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Thanks for posting that. If it is a Dell pre-load then lots of folks will be affected by it.
