July 30, 200719 yr Hi,just after a clean install of XP with ie7 slipstreamed, when I launch ie7 ,I'm redirected to this page:http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspxwith some settings to decide, before being able to use the browser. In this page, I can choose my "default search provider",and when I choose a google (what a joke, they put a ton of provider, and google appear in middle of list)I have a dialog box asking me "Do you want to add the following search provider to explorer ?" ,with the checkbox "make this my default search provider".I'de like to avoid these steps when porforming install. After all, there are tweaks already available for windos media player, then why not for ie7.thanks

July 30, 200719 yr Author hi,@albator:maybye because no one care about Internet explorerAlthough I prefer firefox, I have many reason to not ignore it:* as webmaster , I need to test how the page are rendered.Internet explorer have still the biggest "market share".* many programs are using internet explorer indirectely to render html pages. The most obvious one: the chm viewer.Less obvious: babylon ...@BikinDutchmanthanks for the tips, but the addon needs to disable SFP which I don't like. Moreover, I'm still wishing the feature to be builtin in nlite .
July 31, 200719 yr Assuming "SFP" = "nLite > Options > SFC":-I never touch that, which means: I left it enabled and no problems. However, I do not use ISO/CDs; always install directly on HDD under WinPE 2.0 with the nLited WinXP files on a net location, using WinNT32.exe.I was also able to apply the IE7 tweaks with the official MS $OEM$\cmdlines.txt method. But I agree that some work should be done on IE7 integration and the most important TWEAKS.
July 31, 200719 yr I have ran in to similar problems with IE7 and the only solution I found was IEAK.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/bb219541.aspxIf you make your IE7 installation package with that, you can put the default settings in it. Easy to use wizard like interface.
July 31, 200719 yr Author hi geezery, this look interesting. I'll try that the next time I'd want to build a better nlite image. Unless, nuhi add the tweak ...
August 1, 200719 yr When you have created the IE7 package you can install it unattended in RunonceEx or GuiRunonce. It won't work from svcpack.
