I tried dial fix also.

This appears to be a common occurrance for .NET users:

Unfortunately, it isn't the first framework update to cause this issue either - read Stebner's blog for a (not very nice, but effective) way to fix this.

I tried dial fix also.

I've also had trouble w/updates in .NET v1.1, .NET v2 and .NET v3 when using the automatic update.

I've had to resort to downloading the file and then manual install it.

It's just a workaround.....I hope this is some help.

Just curious, but did you happen to run the Hotfix Uninstaller part in CCleaner?

Nah, anything I want to remove I do from add or remove programs.

Any way to delete where the file got downloaded to, to maybe try to re download and install or do manual?
