problem with networked printing

i have my printer shared since my dads printer doesnt work and everytime someone goes to print to it they get an error, it seems i have to log in first before they can print to it. how can i fix this?

start by posting the exact error you are getting. Also, go to support.microsoft.com and follow the article on troubleshooting printing problems in xp, and tell us if you need further help.

this is the only error im getting:

printer error

printing failed when starting the document

it doesnt give me this problem when i go to \\ra and then login. i gave the group "everyone" full access to the printer. should i add the individual users instead?
