SasakiBruce Posted January 22, 2002 Posted January 22, 2002 I can not login and read my hotmail from my PC at home. I plug in my laptop and have no problems. Any help or suggestoins?
EcPercy Posted January 22, 2002 Posted January 22, 2002 how are you trying to login? witha passport?or are you just going to the hotmail site.... if you are using the passport on msn's home page check to make sure its your username and password... otherwise go and check your cookie settings... start, settings, control panel, internet options, privacy tab...and if it is set to "high" or "block all cookies" that is your prob... i keep mine set at "medium high"
SasakiBruce Posted January 22, 2002 Author Posted January 22, 2002 I login at MSN home page then hotmail tab. I have tried Passport also but it does not work either. I can get all other mail except hotmail and aol. (only two I use) Cookie are set at medium. All I get is; "This page can not be displayed" Again!
EcPercy Posted January 22, 2002 Posted January 22, 2002 another question... do you have a passport username and password entered? its the same as your hotmailgo to start, settings, control panel, user accounts... if your admin click on your username and at the bottom you will see "change my .net password" hit that and it will let you enter in your hotmail stuff...make sure you put in the whole address.... 123456@hotmail.com and your password..then it should log you in when you go to MSN web site and click on the passport sign in you should be all setlemme know if it works or not!
SasakiBruce Posted January 22, 2002 Author Posted January 22, 2002 I tryed it and still the same display. I don't get it!!! Anything else?
SasakiBruce Posted January 22, 2002 Author Posted January 22, 2002 Thanks for your time. Anyone else??
XPerties Posted January 22, 2002 Posted January 22, 2002 Your getting [b:3cabbfe784]This page can not be displayed[/b:3cabbfe784] when you try to logg in. Well this isnt a hotmail promblem, its a IE or a firewall promblem. What firewall are you using? Something it blocking you from going to a secure site.-Xperties
Aaron Posted January 26, 2002 Posted January 26, 2002 Try a different browser such as Opera or Mozilla (don't worry, installing them won't mess up your Internet Explorer settings and attributes like installing Netscape does)
