mr.prozac Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 hi,I'm new to this community.I was wondering if it's possible to use my windows server 2003 as a gateway to the internet in my network?I have 2 network cards in my server. One connected to the internet through the modem, the other one to my switch.I've installed my server yesterday.I installed the following service's:-DNS Server-Active Directory-IIS Server 6.0I want to secure my (wireless)network.I also want to experiment with the features from Windows Server 2003 for educational purposes.[OFF TOPIC]My switch isn't working, i can't connect it to the server. Could someone help me?Regards,Mr.prozAc
chilifrei64 Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 2 things.. 1) Install routing and remote access and follow the wizard to configure lan routing.2) if your switch isnt working.. if you only have 1 other computer you need to get internet access through this then just plug a crossover cable from the computer to the server, this will allow them to communicate without a switch.
