Please help. I'm confused!

Hi

We are deploying XP in our company and I'm investigating different ways of doing it. It's all very confusing and it would be great if one of you experts could give me an idea of which is the best way to do it.

We have:

Windows Server 2003 with Active Directory

800 users

10 different desktop / laptop models

A few standard applications and also a few non-standard depending on department and if it's a laptop.

I've been looking at doing it with RIS, but am very confused if to use rissetup or riprep. Now I'm also looking at WinPE, BDD, ImageX, etc, etc.

All I'd like to do is have as few images as possible, one for each HAL off course, automated installation of drivers depending on hardware model. Some of the standard apps could be part of the images and some could be installed afterwards with AD group policies.

Any suggestions on which one of the 1000 different ways would be best for us. All I need is just some recommendations and then I can do all the research / testing.

Thanks

N
