ejfadrigo Posted July 13, 2007 Author Posted July 13, 2007 tanks m8... but I already tried the 1.70 version of the Realtek HD Audio Driver but still Vista can't install it as Realtek I even tried to install it manually but it not working... Any thoughts?
cluberti Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 The only other thing I can think of is to contact the motherboard manufacturer to see if they have a Vista driver for the onboard audio - if the chip isn't a "true" realtek chip, and the OEM has tweaked it a bit, I can definitely see the realtek drivers not installing properly. At that point, you'll need the real driver for that chipset from the motherboard vendor.
ejfadrigo Posted July 14, 2007 Author Posted July 14, 2007 Thanks for the fast reply m8... definitely thats the best way I should do... But I wonder why the output (speaker) is working but the input (mic, line in) are not... and when I tried to check the mic using sound recorder.. it say's that "There is no audio recording device installed".... weird eh?
LeeD Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Not to sound rude, but have you checked audio settings to make sure you've got "mic" set as the default recording device?!Also try manually updating the driver for your card and pointing it to the directory where the realtek driver is (you might have to extract the Realtek driver to a folder first... can't remember if it comes as an executable or not)
ejfadrigo Posted July 17, 2007 Author Posted July 17, 2007 @leed:As what I said on my first post.... I already tried to install it manualy but still its not working... I choose the "show disabled devices and disconnnected devices" hoping for that Vista disabled my recording device... but i cant find any devices installed.... soory for my poor english ehh
