Hi there m8ts.....

Can someone please help me, I need a driver for my Realtek HD Audio for Vista... Well Vista detected my Realtek HD Audio as "Microsoft HD Audio" and I tried the updated driver for my Sound Card and I even tried to installed it manually, but still it doesnt work at all... As Microsoft HD Audio is installed, It is working aside from I cannot used my mic for recording, when I tried to used Sound Recording, this error "An Audio Recording Device is not Found" appeared... I also choose the option "Show Disabled device" hoping that my Realtek Sound Card was disabled by Vista...

Neec help m8ts....

The only other thing I can think of is to contact the motherboard manufacturer to see if they have a Vista driver for the onboard audio - if the chip isn't a "true" realtek chip, and the OEM has tweaked it a bit, I can definitely see the realtek drivers not installing properly. At that point, you'll need the real driver for that chipset from the motherboard vendor.

Thanks for the fast reply m8... definitely thats the best way I should do... But I wonder why the output (speaker) is working but the input (mic, line in) are not... and when I tried to check the mic using sound recorder.. it say's that "There is no audio recording device installed".... weird eh?

Not to sound rude, but have you checked audio settings to make sure you've got "mic" set as the default recording device?!

Also try manually updating the driver for your card and pointing it to the directory where the realtek driver is (you might have to extract the Realtek driver to a folder first... can't remember if it comes as an executable or not)
