outlook express

Featured Replies

I hope this is the place to ask a question about Outlook Express. Can I set outlook up so it will ONLY accept mail from an address that is in my address book and send all the others to the deleted folder? Thanks in advance... Roy

You could set up a message rule to put anything from anyone in the address book in the inbox, and anything else in a spam folder. Tools > Message rules > Mail.

It's not immediately clear, to me, how this particular rule would be set up. Can you be specific in what conditions you would set up, to allow only email from those in the Address Book to go into the Inbox and all others somewhere else?

Make a new folder. Call it suspicious emails.

Tools > message rules > mail.

Click NEW

Check "Where the from line contains"

Go down to the third white box

Click "contains people" in blue

Highlight everyone in your address box and add them.

In box 2 select "stop processing more rules"

Click OK

Make another rule. Check "For all messages" and for action, send to folder, and select the folder suspicious.
