hello,

i installed the following three OSes in these partitions.

1. primary partition: WinXP

2. primary partition: WinVista

3. extended partition: ubuntu

then, ubuntu installed the GRUB bootloader in the MBR, which i now want to use to select all three OSes.

unfortunately it seems that vista also installed a bootloader on the first and second partitions.

so when i configure grub to boot from the first partition, then i get to the vistabootloader which lets me select vista or xp and if i boot from the second partition then i get the error: no bootloader found.

so,

1. how can i remove the vista bootloader from the first partition and directly boot xp?

2. how can i modify the second partition so that it directly boots vista?

thanks!
