How can I install IIS 7?

How can I install IIS 7 on windows XP? Is it supported by Microsoft?

If not, how can I install it on a different OS?

IIS 7.0 is only part of Vista and WIndows Server 2008. If you ant to use the IIS 7 use Vista or the server

Do you mean that I can install IIS 7.0 on windows Vista machine from the OS CD?

Or that I can install it on different OS but I have to use Vista's CD to install it?

IIS 7.0 is NOT backwards compatible. It is only available on Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista. It uses API calls which are NOT available on any other OS.
