hungviet183 Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 'm downgrading Vista to XP and I met some problems. When I inserted Windows XP CD, it can't process anymore (didn't recognize hard-drive) because missing SATA/RAID driver. I searched on the support website and it said that I couldn't downgrade Windows XP with MT6705 laptop series (Gateway laptop - Seagate ST9120822AS hard-drive). Would you please to help me find the driver for SATA/RAID (MT6705) that I can use in TEXTMODE (setup Windows XP and press F6)? My laptop even didn't have floppy-disk so I couldn't load driver for SATA/RAID.I used nLite (http://nliteos.com/) to integrate SATA/RAID driver from Intel (Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH7M) for this hard-drive) to my XP CD. I tested that XP CD on Vista Home Pre by Vmware 6 WS. It ran perfectly. But when I inserted XP CD and reboot laptop for installing on HDD, it said that it couldn't recognize the driver for Sata drive. What can I do now and how I fix that? Thanks for your interests.
