  1. I can understand where you are at, my kids have left home so we can do what we want !!! I hate the hibernate allways have a prob getting it to wake up. How about auto hide the task bar and just have icons for shutdown etc on desktop ?
  2. I have icons on desk top for the following you can put them on quick launch bar Logoff = C:\Windows\System32\logoff.exe Shutdown = C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe System properties = C:\Windows\System32\SystemPropertiesComputerName.exe Device Manager= C:\Windows\System32\devmgmt.msc Still looking for switch user
  3. Why do the have to hide things we go to so often device manager for example, its there if you dont mind opening a few windows to get there ! I created a short cut C:\Windows\System32\devmgmt.msc and put it on the desk top, or if you want to you can have C:\Windows\System32\SystemPropertiesAdvanced.exe which brings up system properties. You can drag folders in explorer across to favorite links I like that.
  4. I have a HP PSC 2110 printer and i does not work with Vista, I tried to use the HP cd that came with the printer but no luck. However the scanner worked !! My printer is a couple of years old so looks like a new printer but only one with Vista ready sticker on it, did you try the VistaUpgradeAdvisor which you can download from MS ?
