  1. Load the theme you wish to use, then go into the following options - Display->Appearance->Advanced->Select normal/selected in taskbar and change to similar to the rest of the toolbar, then save the theme as what it was when you loaded it - this was basically what I'd mentioned when I replied to another topic similar to this one.
  2. I saw a mention of using the /qn switch for the preconfigured setup on the cd, but didn't know whether it'd work for my custom build or not - I used Packager to make it in managed mode, and silent/no reboot as well.
  3. I was just wondering if anyone else was having any problems with any errors since these 2 patches came out? So far I've had endless problems trying to encode videos to XVid through Premiere 6.5, and just today I've had Eudora crash twice as well as DAP go down once. By crash I mean come up with the error box saying "program has caused a problem and has been shut down" or something like that, then you can view the problem details, etc. For Premiere, it was mostly xvid.dll and sometimes came up as unknown; for Eudora it was user32.dll; didn't see what it was for DAP because I just shut it down. I managed to get Ulead Media Studio to encode what I wanted to do through Premiere, as I guess it doesn't rely on any/many MS system files to work with, but that was only a short term solution. Weird thing is though that Premiere stuffed up on encoding in Win2kSP4 as well on this system, so maybe there's something else amiss on this system, though it's essentially the same as before I did my latest reinstall except for me running off a different SATA controller. EDIT: It seems that having 2 SATA drives on the ICH5 mapped to PM/PS was the problem, as when I moved the other drive to the Sil controller everything was fine.
  4. I added the non-RAID there because I'm planning to run 2 drives as normal drives, and I have played around with the Sil3112 drivers, which I got working using the nforcers method of changing txtsetup.sif, but I'm wondering if the same type of method would work for non-RAID on the ICH5R. I have the IAA files extracted from the downloaded file, and have had a brief look through them, but the inf mentions being for the IAA RAID (only?), and have seen other posts on here using the RAID drivers same as for the Sil, but I don't want to use the drive/s in RAID. I tried doing it without any drivers once or twice, but each time it went on the endless loop of running setup again, after copying the files to the drive I wanted it to, which it obviously found to start with, but not again after that. The only way I've gotten the drive to work "properly" is to set the sata port0 to run as PM, which means I can't run my 2 cd drives on seperate channels to speed up transfers, though I don't think I had any problems using that other method before, but I just want to run the drive in "full SATA mode" if it's possible. Oh yeah, I have an 8KNXP with 2x120Gb drives in RAID0 on IDE RAID, as well as 2 other drives as slaves, and currently 2 cd drives on seperate channels, with the main OS drive on the Sil controller with another drive on ICH5R. Running XP SP1 too. F5 BIOS as well.
