  1. I'm looking for a way to install the ATI Multimedia Center for my AIW 9800 with the ability to turn on and off certain features (like I just want to install the TV tuner and not have the media player installed or at least not the default video viewer). Any thoughts?
  2. -m is to display the message "Windows XP will now restart in 1 minute..." I assume the m in -m stands for message, as in the message to be displayed.
  3. I would use: [Unattended] UnattendMode=DefaultHide so that any of the entries you do not fill out in the winnt.sif file will have to be filled in by the user. At least the CD-Key and such won't have to be refilled in every time you insert it into another computer.
  4. This is my setup screen. Nothing big. I haven't changed the text yet, I'm still working on completely figuring that part out. heh.... That's next on my list of things to do with it. Plz use free img host provided by our members. We are trying to keep our database size down. Thankx
  5. heh... I'm not sure if this has been suggested, but I'm going to suggest it anyway. My only thought with the XP Preview is that you should allow a full screen view too. To me, you can only really tell if the setup screen is how you want it when you see it 1024x768 or higher. Maybe it's a feature and I just don't know it.
  6. heh.. Yup, just found it. Anyway, I'm just curious how people are calling WIHU now.
  7. Alright, I think I'm just being retarded (long night last night = no sleep ) but I'm curious if I could see some examples on how to install Mozilla Thunderbird (preferably through the installer and not copying the files) and how people called WIHU (like in cmdlines.txt or what not)? Sorry if it seems retarded. heh...
  8. I read it, just misunderstood it. oops.... Sorry, I guess the whole mistake thing just doesn't happen anymore, eh?
  9. the $OEM$ folder is alongside the i386 folder on the root CD. \ \$OEM$\ \i386\
  10. Hey, it'd be cool to see some examples of peoples install.ini files, eh? And just out of curiousity, where do you call WIHU? (example would be cool )
  11. I had that error once. I don't recall what the problem was anymore. It deffinately reminds me of a bad ISO or setupdlr.bin file problem. I can't recall anymore though.
  12. Alright, thanx. I'll try that out then.
  13. I'm not sure why, but when using Killerbee's method, I get an error about the Exit command not being correct or something (I don't recall the exactly what it said). It happened after the unpacking or installing (whichever uses the little progress bar and box next to it)... Here's what I'm doing: HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install5",,,"Open Office 1.1.1"HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install5",1,,"%24%\install\OOo\setup.exe -r:install\OOo\setup.txt -debug" Right after that's run, a batch file deletes my install directory and restarts my computer (after 60 seconds). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  14. I'm looking to find out if anyone has tried to add a Linux distro to the DVD. I'd personally like to get Knoppix on the DVD but I can't figure out how it boots and such... Just curious if anyone's tried.
  15. You're image worked for me. I kinda wonder why mine didn't... I think I'll just leave it as is winout customizing it or anything. It might work out better that way.
  16. I'm having a problem with mine. I get an error about being unable to locate setup files and I'm not sure why... I'm using the following section in my autoexec.bat file cd \SETUP\98SE\WIN98 and that is where WIN98 directory is. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm not sure what the problem is.
  17. Well, I decided to try out gosh's methed of putting Longhorn on my multios DVD but have come across a problem. Whenever I try to boot from it (I use cdshell), I get "NTDETECT FAILED." I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. Here's a small directory structure of mine: AIO-DVD\ --Boot <- cdshell boot folder --LONG <-Longhorn boot folder --sources <-Longhorn sources folder winbom.ini LONG.DAT Well, I assume winbom.ini has to be in the root folder, so I added it there. I edited setupldr.bin to point at LONG instead of i386. I then edited the LONG.DAT to point from i386 to LONG. I replaced all instances of i386 to LONG. I'm not sure what the problem is. Anyone have any thoughts?
  18. So, is it possible to have it autologin anyway even if you have the user create his own password? I doubt it but I'm just curious.
  19. ;Disable Shutdown Event Tracker [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Reliability] "ShutdownReasonOn"=dword:00000000
  20. Hey, I was just curious if there is one for 2003? Just wondering as I'm using 2003 instead of XP.
  21. Well, to accomplish this, you would extract the drivers into $OEM$/$1/Folder (I used drivers) and then in your winnt.sif file (located in your I386 directory if you've correctly created it), and go to the [unattended] section. This is what I have: OemPnPDriversPath="drivers\3com_90xv54\Disk1;drivers\soundblaster;" Edited it a bit so it wasn't huge but you get the idea.
  22. Well, I tried that and it didn't seem to work for some reason. Ah, I'll double check my paths and everything.
  23. Is there anything for the Sound Blaster Audigy by any chance? (I'm assuming those are for the Sound Blaster Live only)
  24. Hey, is there a registry entry so that I can view with details and by type? (I know, sounds weird, just a preference of mine )
