  1. Am I the only one having this problem when trying to slipstream SP2 ( or any other package for that matter ) into my Office XP Proffesional with Frontpage Administration Point? When using a logfile I get some errormessages but unfortunatly I don't understand what it says. Does this mean anything to anyone? DEBUG: Error 2746: Transform 1TTo1U invalid for package C:\WINNT\Installer\f1dcbf6.msi. Expected product {90150409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0050048383C9}, found product {9028041D-6000-11D3-8CFE-0050048383C9}. // Mattias
  2. Hi, now I've run in to trouble again I've created my administration point and I'm now trying to slipstream the first update Office XP SP2 Admin (oxpsp2a.exe). I've followed the instructions on http://www.MSFN.org/unattended/xp/officexp...xp_advanced.htm so I now have the administration point installed under C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\install\Applications\OfficeXP\ and the update (MAINSP2ff.msp) has been extracted to C:\OXPupdates\ Now when I run the command msiexec /p C:\OXPupdates\MAINSP2ff.msp /a C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\install\Applications\OfficeXP\proplus.msi SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb I get an errormessage ( in swedish ). Translated into english, the message says something like: "You can't install the correction file for the upgrade because the program to update may be missing or the correction file has been created for another version of the program. Check that the program to update is installed and that you have the correct correction file." Does anyone know what might be the problem? // Mattias
  3. Thank you AaronXP! You have really helped me alot! //Mattias
  4. Thanks! That's exactly the kind of list I've been looking fore but not been able to find. Do I always only have to install the latest hotfix, for let say Word, or do I normally have to install all the previous hotfixes as well? Example: Both wrd1005a.exe and officexp-kb824934-fullfile-enu.exe contain a file named "winwordff.msp". Do I only have to install the one from the newest hotfix? Is this perhaps why you beleve that the newest word and excel hotfixes supersedes the older ones? The instruction for the slipstreaming of hotfixes ( in the file OfficeXP_Slipstreamer.cmd - se the quote from the file below ) seem to targeting two different msi-files. Mostly it targets the proplus.msi but at one occation it targets the owc10.msi. If I want to slipstream more hotfixes, how do I know which msi-file to target? //Mattias
  5. I have used the instructions on Creating an Unattended Windows XP CD to create an unattended installation of Office XP Pro. In the slipstream process there are a couple of files to download. The following: * Office XP SP2 Admin * Word 2002 Administrative Update (Q824934) * Excel 2002 Administrative Update (Q329750) * Outlook 2003 Administrative Update (Q812262) * Office XP Security Patch (Q822036) * Office XP WordPerfect 5.x Converter Security Patch (Q824938) * Access 2002 Snapshot Viewer Security Patch (Q826293) It says that they are all the updates that were available at the time of writing. How do I know if there are more updates available today? //Mattias
