Well, I unplugged the router completely and put a Linksys switch in place of it. I know the switch works cause it was just running on our intranet. Do I need to configure an IP address on the switch? How would I do that, if possible? One thing to note, when the default gateway was set to the same IP as the DC, I was able to add a client to the domain. That configuration was not ideal, so I gave the router it's own IP and now it does not work. Does that help at all? >>make sure the IP on the client machine is one that is being provided by the DHCP on the DC, if not then there is connectivity issues<< The IP on the client is NOT one that is provided by DHCP. Also, I am unable to do an ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew. It will release, but not renew. Put the switch in place but I think that the system is still searching for 192.168.20.254 and nothing is coming back. Ideas?
