Ok - I am a newbie and not technology savvy - so flame away - Using windows XP Pro - hard drive crashed so installed new hard drive - the old drive is now a slave drive and connected properly - the disk managment tool sees the old hard drive and no letter is assigned - when I right click the drive all choices are greyed out and only choice is delete partiion. I saw one post on this forum where the answer seemed to be to change it to a dynamic drive. When I try that i get ' Active partition no free space on partion' I have been thinking about this for a week - can you help please?
