Paradox Me

Ok, I'm going to try that. I'm not making a bootable CD though. I want to make Bootable DVD Ok, I've used my original xp cd and got the boot file made. I made the iso and now am burning it. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for that info. Rats! It didn't work. I get "NTLDR is missing" I went into i386 to check and it is there but it doesn't have an extension it is just NTLDR, does that matter? Or is it something in bootable image properties I'm doing wrong??

Hello again, I have made my unattended XP Pro that resides in C:\XPCD I'm having trouble in making a bootable DVD disc. I don't need a multi-boot and I cant seem to be able to make this bootable. I've created a .ISO with UltraISO and have burned everything to DVD but the message to press any key is not there when I run it through VirtualPC. Instead I get NTLDR is missing. I used a BOOT.IMA file that I googled from some web site. I know that that is probably my problem. So the real question goes like this: Is there a guide or a somewhat foolproof method of making a bootable DVD?? My total size of my unattended XP ISO is 1.82 gb. Should I start again and try to make another bootable iso??? I have MagicISO, UltraISO, Nero 7, Roxio EasyCD\DVD 6 PLease help.

Interesting that others have had the same problem. I have office 2000 premium that is still installing when the sound blaster drivers start. In fact they finish first BEFORE Office installs. The other problems I face, silent installs work on some things and not on others. Can you spot them?? The following thread was posted a while ago and I would like to get some understanding of what I'm doing. I'm a noob. Thats for sure when it comes to this stuff. Shark007 posted this silent install method but I can't seem to get understanding of it. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=16336 I have installed Corel on a working machine. I have copied dr12.dta. I have made a .reg file by using notepad and copy/pasted the registry file info that he listed. It's at that point I get lost. Does he indend me to copy the CD into my $oem$ folder? If so, that's easy. How do I then import the .reg file I created?? The part where he says to copy dr12.dta into the installed Corel directory, what file does that entry go into? Runonceex, or my batch script??? Please help if you can and get this thread updated. The other point I need some direction on is how to get this all updated? As for the TV tuner part, there are several components to the WinTV PVR 150 These are: Decoder, drivers, Infrared, infraredblaster, tv scheduler, tv application. All have updated software that they expect you to install one by one. Oh well. The other problems I have are to do with administrative installs of Corel Draw 12 and Office 2000 Premium

First off, I want to say that this forum is incredible. In just over 2 weeks I have come to understand many things about creating an unattended xp install. This is truly amazing since I am not anywhere close to knowing how to run scripts or or how to program. Last time I did something close to this was on my Commodore 64 in BASIC. So I have many of you to thank for helping us newbies out. I'm getting old and this stuff is fairly complicated. One thing I want to ask though is: What is the relationship between all these files? You'll have to forgive me about the following 1) Wintsf is the answerfile and is run first. 2) Cmdlines.txt is up next and it can point to your own batch file such as installs.cmd to run driver installs, application installs that have a hard time under runonceex 3) runonceex processes program installs after first logon. Is this correct? I'll post my files later and perhaps get your input once I have this part down figured out in mind. The other question I have may be a challenge. I have Hauppage WinTV PVR 150 and I have like 7 different individual updated setup files from their website. HOW IN THE WORLD DO i get them all insalled silently???
