Thank you Gouki for getting back to me. That's the thing that drives me nuts no changes what so ever on the thinkpad.. "XP fully patched?" i do't know, how can i find out ?

I'm trying to connect with my ThinkPad (windows XP pro) to a friend's network I was able to do it yesterday, but today not ! I made sure the newtork, wires all working fine. Also, I disable the wireless connection, disable the network card / Intel® Pro/100 VE Network Connection > restarted > a new hardware was detected > still nothing. I keep getting a message there is limited connection ... Any ideas what i should do ? Thanks for your help. ~ Grace
