  1. No they aren't... and why do they have to be if File and printer sharing is enabled on all machines and theyere are folder set to shared on the desktop? My laptop doesn't have an exact account o nthe desktop, yet it still can access the shares while the two desktops can't access anything other than internet.
  2. Ok, i am trying to make it so that all the computers on my network can access each of the other computers. i have 3 computers: Comp 1 runs Windows XP Pro and is a Desktop. Comp 2 runs Windows XP Home and is a Desktop. Comp 3 runs Windows XP Home and is a Laptop. All computers used wired connections to a Linksys WCG200 Wireless Cable Gateway Router. This is a peer-to-peer netwoork. I ran the Network setup Wizard on each machine the exact same way on each and enabled Files sharing on each. I can see each of the other computers on each of the computers, but i cannot access any computers from either desktop. The laptop can access the desktops, but not vice versa. Why is that even though i ran the setup the same the laptop acts differently than the others? I even attempted to create a user account on Comp 2 that is the same login name as the account used to login to Comp 1., but it still says that Access is denied and that the network path isn't found. There are shared folders on Comp 2, but i can't reach them when using My Network Places.
