  1. Hi.... Like many people, I have found the whole driver signing thing with Vista a real pain. However, I have found a way around it by using AutoIT. I create a bootable Vista ISO using vLite (with Update packs, drivers etc. integrated) and include an AutoIT script (compiled into an EXE) on the ISO. I then boot this ISO in VMware and when it gets to the 'Copying files....' stage, I can press Shift-F10 to get a command prompt and run my AutoIT script/EXE. Ideally, I would like to modify the Autounattend.xml file which vLite creates at the root of the ISO to get it to run the AutoIT script/EXE automatically. Unfortunately, at just the time I need the script to run, I can't find any means of getting a RunAsync (or even RunSync) to execute. The installation appears to go thru 'Copying files', 'Expanding files', 'Installing Features' and 'Installing Updates'. It then reboots into mini setup and starts 'Completing Setup'.....it is here that the drivers appear to get processed and I get prompted about unsigned drivers and it is here that I would like to have my AutoIT thingy run automatically. Does the 'Completing Setup' phase of the installation correspond to any of the passes (WindowsPE, specialize, AuditSystem etc.) which I could use in the Autounattend.xml file? Is there any way I can have a RunAsync command execute just after that reboot, but before the 'Completing Setup' phase starts processing the drivers? Thanx in advance. Chris.
