  1. Help with 2k3server compatibility

    I have a few softwares that used to work well on our old 2k machines but wont install on the new 2k3 rdp servers... I've heard of some magical switch/methods for installshield/msg installers but couldnt find much info about it.... compatibility mode doesnt help I know some of these softs are not made for 2k3 server, but there are some that i'd really need on this server in order to finalize my render farm... any idea suggestion? (one of the soft is avid xpress)

  2. stisvc, windows image acquisition prob

    Hello all, i'm experiencing trouble with the imaging service under my 2k3 install it was by default disabled to i turned it back to automatic but the service isnt working at all: C:\Documents and Settings\DeathWolf>net start stisvc The Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service is starting. The Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service could not be started. A system error has occurred. System error 127 has occurred. The specified procedure could not be found. I cant get more info than that and i'm wondering if anyone has an idea... Thanx, DeathWolf
