  1. It's in the windows\system32 folder. If you don't have Vista installed then you will need to mount install.wim to find it. heisking
  2. I used the version of Makecab from Vista alongside the cmd in HFSLIP and it worked perfectly.
  3. There will not be any new security updates for March. Microsoft Security Bulletin Advance Notification
  4. Updated again to version 1.5.0.722.
  5. Homer_m is correct. You must copy the winnt.sif Product Key that is in the i386 dir to the winnt.sif that you put in the FIX folder. I have an OEM with sp1a and slipstream SP2 with no activation required doing it this way.
  6. Works fine on IE7. No Problem here.
  7. All you have to do is put the downloaded CAB file in HFCABS leaving KB905474 in the HF folder and HFSLIP will take care of the rest. @Tomalak You need to edit the link to remove the ) at the end of the link. heisking
  8. Kiki, The 1st bitmap is the one that needs to be changed. If you go here you will find some help on changing the bootscreen. Also, if you have a multiprocessor instead of a uniprocessor then ntkrnlmp.exe is copied over and renamed ntoskrnl.exe. Plus these files are in driver.cab. Good luck
  9. the_guy 902400 was replaced by 912817 heisking
  10. In the instructions for HFANSWER.INI it states: However if DELCATS is set to 0 then the .CAT files will be deleted as per this line in the SVCPACK subroutine of HFSLIP:
  11. @glentium That feature is already built into HFSLIP. When you get to the screen where you type in I HAVE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Instead of that type in MAKEISO, then HFSLIP will make the ISO and exit.
  12. TC Here is the zipped HFSLIP.LOG file. HFSLIP.zip
  13. When I run HFSLIP_60518b with files in the HFEXPERT\WIN subfolders, the files do not get installed. This is what is put into TXTSETUP.SIF: [WinntDirectories] 1101 = "PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\BATCH" [sourceDisksFiles] cmdow.exe = 1,,,,,,,2,0,0 sifdir,0,0 sifdir,0,0 sifdir,0,0 As you can see the directory is identified but the file output is sifdir,0,0. They are correct in DOSNET.INF. Also on line 2359 is the following command, DEL/Q/F DRV.TXT. This causes an error when HFSLIP is running as there is no other reference to DRV.TXT in the command file.
  14. mystek If you go to MSFN's Unattended Windows, near the bottom of the page, you will find links for XP and 2k3 prehacked UXTHEME.DLL files that are already cabbed. I use this on XPSP2 without a modified SFC.DLL, SFC_OS.DLL, or SFCFILES.DLL and have no problems with the install. It works perfectly. SFC checks the files when windows is running and puts the old file back if it detects that one of the protected files have been changed. During setup if UXTHEME.DLL is sliptreamed on the install disk SFC will consider it to be the correct file. It sounds to me like you may not have run modifyPE on it before you cabbed it.
  15. All you need to do is put the modified uxtheme.dll in the FIX folder. Just make sure it is cabbed. That way it will overwrite the original and get installed without the need for changing sfc_os.dll or any registry entries.
