Which sux a lot cause I have to code everything with notepad, which is fine for regular pages but this is something that I have never tried to do with just notepad. I was hopeing to get the round start button that was just the MSFT flag, I've seen it somewhere online here and I cant remember where. Is there a way to add that in or would I need to download the bigger pack?
  5. wow that allenware site is great, its gonna take me a while to get thru all that. I was looking into being able to write my own custom install files and have been reading a lot of the material on here. Is there anything else besides writing batch files that I should look into learning as well? Thanks again for all your help with this, you guys have been awesome

  7. I have tried searching around and didn't really turn up much in the way of a tutorial kinda site. I have primarly been focused on web developement till I started coming around this site. I would like to know if there is a web site or something out there that has a pretty good beginers tutorial on how to creat batch files. Or if there is something on this site that I just haven't found yet or I wasn't searching for the right words. thanks for your time.

  9. I have a gateway laptop and it came with a factory restore partion, its kinda a nice idea cause I dont really have to carry my restore CD's everywhere I go. The problem is that I can't figure out how to get into the partition to slipstream updates to it. Is there any tools out there that might let me get into this partition and update it? I tried to search for this in the forums but nothing came up. Thanks for your time.
  10. so I have no idea where to start on this project. I have used the create webpage feature in Access2000 and it doesn't really do what I want it to do. Esentially I have a Roster page that I have set up and I want to link it to a database so that all people have to do is update a database to update the webpage. I've been told I can do this with some sort of asp or VBscript but I don't know how to set it up. I'm pretty good with html so designing the webpage side of it is easy, its just linking the fields to the Access database. I have a windows 2000 server, IIS that came installed with it, Office 2000 suite, they tell me that .net framework is installed but I haven't tried to run anything that would need yet. Here are some of the things I need to be able to do in this project: - Have a DB front end for the common user to update - Have the DB automatically update the webpage - Be able to sort the records by date of arrival and department they are in (each department has its own section on the webpage) any ideas on where to start or possible script examples would be greatly appreciated, also and webpage that I could go to to see examples or something would be awesome. Thanks for you help with this. sedd
  11. Hello everyone. I have been reading these forums and what not for a few weeks now and I'm pretty impressed with the level of knowledge and willingness to share things around here so I thought I would join and see what I can learn and maybe eventually share. I have been teaching myself to do some web programing and I'm really interested in this whole unattended install stuff.
