Hi LLXX, Barring the system and hidden attribs, I have narrowed it down to having a domain logon with admin rights on this computer, my XP Pro system. If I'm logged in with a domain login (with Admin rights and also Domain Admin rights) I cannot see the OLKxxx or Content.IE5 folders. If I'm logged in locally with the local Admin account I can see those folders in anyones profile folders. So it seems like this is something imposed by XP to secure those folder from a Domain Admin?!?! Very odd as Domain Admins should have full Admin rights. This XP Pro install is 2 weeks old, free of spyware/adware or viruses. Thoughts?

Hi all, I was trying to troubleshoot an issue with Outlook 2000 sp3 and it had to do with attachments. Outlook 2000 stores attachments in an OLKxxx folder randomly generated for security reasons (where xxx is a random number). This folder is generated in the c:\documents and settings\<<username>>\local settings\temporary internet files\ folder. Apparently Outlook marks the folder hidden. I have the options on explorer set to view all hidden and system files BUT explorer was not showing the OLKxxx folder to me. I had to go into a DOS window, navigate to the temporary internet files folder and attrib -h on the OLKxxx. Then I was able to see it. So my question is, why is Windows XP or 2000 Pro not displaying this hidden folder? Title Edited - Please follow the forum rules from now on -- Martin L
