  1. Hello to all, I've been reading this forum for sometime now and decided to register. My history with computers go back to Commodore 64 and and little bit before, my first computer was Salora Manager. I think it was not sold anywhere else. After C64, I got myself an Amiga, and was with Amiga to late 1990's. Then I bought a PC. Currently I own few PC's and AmigaOne. So I really never abandoned Amiga platform. Also Macs are no stranger to me. I have been working with computers for 6 years now, last five in a finnish mobile operator. Mostly MS, but there have been some cases I have ran into BSD's or Linux. Currently I'm taking care of my daughter for a year, and not working. Hopefully I can participate and give some help, and also get some questions answered if I have'em. Cheers, samppa
  2. Check your services, as I pointed out on a another thread. My CPU was usage was 100% due services couldn't get started and hanged on "starting" state.
  3. I had similar problems, but figured it out. After I installed antivirus, CPU usage went sky high. After half a day, I noticed that some of the services were in "starting" state. Removed the antivirus and everything was ok. Re-installed antivirus and same thing happened, so I took the antivirus away again. The problem was I installed it with my user account, instead of built-in administrator account. With admin account, installation went thru ok, and all services are starting ok and do not hang the machine. So, check your services to make sure they get started.
