It depends on what you want to install&us it. For personnal uses, previous choices are ok. But for corporate, I strongly recommand DefragManager from Systernals. It beat all others "pro" version in the way and efficacy it works. Add to it a really practical management console, you have your tool to supervise/defrag hundreds of servers.

I had the same problem couple of days ago. Same setup: XP sp2 + Ryan's Updatepack Same symptoms: black screen (no information about the current activity). It was with the update pack on a FR version of WinXP -.- After replacing the right update pack for the right language, that problem was resolved for me.

Hi, I think there is a little error, due to the Wiki interpretation of Caps words. In the section that describe the SVCPACK method to integrate hotfixes, there is mistake on the sample SVCPACK.INF file. on the forum you will see: ;Windows XP [Version] Signature=" NT$" MajorVersion=5 MinorVersion=1 BuildNumber=2600 The right syntax is: ;Windows XP [Version] Signature="$Windows NT$" MajorVersion=5 MinorVersion=1 BuildNumber=2600 If you enter in edit mode, you will see that the author have typed it right. Only wiki interpretation. This took me some times and reinstals, wondering why that hotfixes didnt install !
