I have about 3 different types of machines that I use RIS for. One thing that I don't do is is RIPREP, I used the unattended guide on this site when I created mine. From there I have added tweaks and programs that our company uses for day to day stuff. Hope this helps.

Thanks but it did not work. Does the "Remote Instalation" service have to be restated for this change to take place? I only thought if you made changes to the I386 folder.

This may have already been answered, (and I used the wrong words to search for it) but how do you set the defualt background color for windows in the unattended install? Is a REG tweak you have to use or do you have to load it via NTUSER.dat. Thanks in advance

Yes I have tried all that. I think I am going to just reinstall the software, and see if that helps, did not want to but that is what it is coming down to.

This may have already been answered but how do you turn off system restore in the RIS image. I don't want it installed at all on my machines.

I am trying to add my screenshots but it is telling me there is not enough space.

I have a computer that when spreadsheets, weather they are old or new, are opened on it and they have wrap text they do not display the contents at all. No matter if I change the size of the cell or change text color or font. Has anyone else seen this?

I was wondering if what is the reg key to disable both Browese in the Same Window and Confirm Open after Download for Word 2003 and Excel 2003. The reason I ask is we have a program that we run that needs these settings turned off, so I wanted to create a reg tweak that I could send to people that were haveing the issue or put it in my RIS image. Sorry if this has been covered somewere else but I have searched the forums and did not find a answer for this.

Hi all I am trying to uncheck the "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser" durning the RIS setup. I figure it is a registy fix but I have not been able to find it. The reason I am doing this is because the image is for the company computers other browser will not be installed. wink, wink. So any help would be wonderful

Yep that is the name of the software. I thought about doing that, making my own reg entry, was just trying to see if there was another way.

Hi all, We use a small program (can't remember the name off the top of my head) but what it does is display the computer name and IP address in the corner of the desktop. The program also has the ablity to display almost anything from the registry. Well we want to put the current version of our image in there so as we help our users we will know which version of RIS they are useing. Any help would be greatful
