Is there any real different between the micro versions 7.7.5.1, 7.9.6.0, and 7.10.1.0 ? Besides the higher version number, are there any improvements? Or do they all work exactly the same?

I switched to 7.9.6.0 Micro on this PC and it worked. I tried installing it on another PC (freshly formatted) with my same serial, and it gives the error about the CDKey being invalid... Can you only use the CDKey on one system? I upgraded to the 7.10.1.0 version on this PC and it works fine. Hadn't tried 7.10 on the other. Any suggestions?

If it is because of the QCHAIN.EXE file, be sure you extract the files before including them in your install. The QCHAIN.EXE file you get from microsoft is an extractable file. Inside, you will find another QCHAIN.EXE. This is the one you want to use in your SVCPACK folder.

I agree. This isn't "DOS" or an equivalent thereof. It's just a very toned down version of windows without the memory hog interface. Will WinGE still have the user profile folders and desktop folders? If so, it would be cool if somebody wrote a little app to pull "icons" or "links" from the desktop folder and list them. Almost like a game list, and you can choose what game you want to play in there. Just a thought.
