Problem solved or walked around. Copied all the files to content dir, and did the approval thing all over... Wsus did not redownload so all in all good for our bush link (128k/64k) ygg

Had a wsus 2 install and managed to uninstall it, i have all the files but are now atempting to import them to a new server. The problem is that if i overwrite the database files we get now database conection. I was a bit quick and did not use the export tool before uninstalling, and now need to copy the files to a new server (if you know how to do this for wsus 3 that would be greate but wsus2 is ok) and get wsus to use the files and db. Is there anyone who has a good ide here? ygg

We have a network with 40-50 PC on a very low bandwidth connection. What I wounder about is if it is possible to somehow limit the bandwidth that msn uses when sending pictures/files or when using voice/camera options. Or even block thees services but still leave MSN able to connect to msn network and chat. Is this possible. does msn use different protocols or mime types for this or port number. would be highly appreciated if someone could help with this. ygg

ok.. but i live in the bush in africa, so that would not be an option as it takes a month to get it here... Finlay managed to install AVG on it and it found 50 infected files an all now is good! But thanks for help... ygg

It happens when it is plugged to mains. The owner had a problem shutting it off at one point and let it run out of batteries to shut it down... ygg

I've got a brand new LGF1 express duel adn all seemed fine until a tryed to open cmd or download a file from the internet. I instantly reboot on cmd and reboots after 10 secs on file download. Another thing that is funny is that the sleep light (half moon) is always on...... Hope someone can help me. Ygg

Anyone that uses software for inventory in the work that can tell me what they use, and give some advice? Should be server client based, and pref trough web interface. ygg

I work at a Hospital in Tanzania, and we have allot of different stores (containers, Department store and such). The problem is that we don't have a central overview of what is in the container, who is responsible for this and that and who can access it. What i am looking for (have/are checkin souce forge, different PHP sites and Google) is a server based program with a central database and a browser interface (PHP/MySQL preferably so I can use my Linux server). There must be option to make stores, with name, location, owner, department. Items should have category for name, type, description (longer text), number, owner, etc There should be possibilities to make user and group them, and then assign rights to different groups. Has someone seen this? would be nice if it was freeware, as we don't have much money and are dependent on donations for our daily running...... Kind Regards Ygg

Autopacher seems fine, but it is not what i was looking for, and they do not deliver in Tanzania where i Live.... This is a small app that downloads updates from MS and creates a ISO. When you insert this you open the cd on the out of date PC and click menu.bat and then get option to ionstall SP", update post SP" or brows cd. It also have a funny speech thing that talks when the menu is loaded (not important but might make someone remember it) Tore

Yes, this I have found, but this other program downlaoded updates, and the mad a ISO you could burn to cd and then install all in one... I what a program that creates a update cd, so that you insert cd start a program that innstalles all updates. Tore

I work in a bush hospital in Africa, and the bandwidth here is not good. In the IT department we used to have a nice cd that contain all updates for windows until august this year (except MGA updates). The cd was mad by a small program that downloaded all the updates and then created a ISO file. This we burned to a cd and inserted into newly installed pc's and opend a menu.bat file. This gave us a noice cmd menu where you could choose to install SP2, updates after SP2 or brows cd. (Choosing was don by numbers) This also prompted if you wanted to update Java, install Acrobat reader or disable MSN. My problem is that someone have lost the CD and the program/ISO is nowhere to be found either. I have trye some hard googeling but nothing came up that was as sutible for my needs as this program. Does anyone know of this program? Can someone then ples give me a link? Kind Regards Tore
