oh sorry . each one shows limited or no connectivity. I tried it with the original, untampered windows and it works fine. it wont even work with a static ip address, although i can ping the router. same thing happens in VMWare.

I recently had a HDD failure and lost my original Unnatended install and had to create a new one. fortunatly and a lot of hotfixes on CD. this CD also had more hotfixes than were ever integrated into the windows installation. I tried to integrate them into the installation but seem to be getting a network problem. the only things that i have done with this instalation is the hotfix integration and the re-creating the winnt.sif. The winnt.sif is fine, im sure but was just wandering if any body has come accross a hotfix that causes network problems. i recently updated my unattended xp cds with new hotfixes. i used nlight to intergrate them directly into the windows installation source rather than using guirunonce. this has caused a problem with IE. IE indicates that the website has been found, but will fail to display anything in the window. also internet options no longer works. this has happend to all versions of XP, on multiple machines. the hot fixes integrated are - KB913446 KB911565 KB911927 KB911564 KB912945 KB904942 KB912475 I have been unable to find any reason for one of these to cause IE to fail. any ideas??
