I was attempting to ghost an Win 98SE image on a Compaq Deskpro Tower Pentium 3, the A-station couldn't read the diskette, the message: insert disk in medium, appeared as if the station was empty. I changed the diskettestation --> same problem, I changed the cable and the problem remained, although the diskettestation each time is normally recognized in BIOS. Can anyone help me?
  2. So, you think it's the keyboard. It's a simple one that I always use for my tests and installations and that never failed. I'll try with another keyboard. I already reset the BIOS, no use. I read something about ACPI but I didn't understand very well. Could it be that what causes my problem? What does ACPI? Do I have to enable or disable? The processor is AMD Athlon 1,7 GHz
  3. Sorry, I don't understand, DEL at POST?
  4. Yes, it's a legal version and afterwards I used the same CD and all went perfect
  5. I want to install Win XP pro on a computer. The files are loaded and when you have to select on which partition you want to install Win XP everything stops. I changed already the HD, the CD-reader, removed some RAM (originally 256 MB - 128 MB pc133 - 128 MB pc100) and left only the 256 MB. The problem stays the same, after loading the files everything stops. Can somebody help me with a resolution? Thanks Title Edited - Please follow new forum rules from now on -- Martin L
  6. I installed Win 2000 pro from a CD and the countrysettings are empty. Where can I find them or what can I do to install these settings? I can't change my keyboard from qwerty to azerty.

Sorry I gave so little information. I'm trying to make an unattended installation CD to install Win XP + Office 2003 + Reader + several other programs on several computers. I follow the tutorial and after integrating Win SP2 they show an exemple of the content of the map UWCD, but I have on my computer more maps and files then shown. That worries me, I'm afraid I skipped a step, my $OEM$ submaps are still empty. So, what do I do?

I followed the instructions of the tutorial but I have a few maps too much, DOCS,SUPPORT, VALUEADD and cmpnents and 2 files: win51ip.sp2 and setupxp.htm. Do I have to put them in submaps of $OEM$? I don't know what to do?
