ok i get it. Now my question is can i directly replace it in the I386 folder or am i going to have trouble with the "FIle Protection Service" and if so can i disable it? -PP

Ehh??? So I can take a LogonUI.exe and rename it to logonui.ex_ and just simply replace the file? And what are you talking about modifying. I know I'm new and a pain. Sry. -PP

I am trying to change the default theme (Luna, I think) that Windows XP instals to one of mine own during the unattended install. I would also like to know how to change the Logon UI if this is possible. I have the replacement files and all I just need to know how to make windows install this other theme and where the original logon UI is located so i can replace it. Any Ideas? -PP
