  1. Found it. Just for the record: Copied the i386 directory and \setup.exe from the OEM XP PRO SP2 CD to the HDD. Copied the setupp.ini from the XP PRO retail (<SP2) \i386 folder into the i386 folder I put on the HDD. Ran setup.exe from the i386 folder on the HDD with no CDs in the drives and it was fine, ran Retail XP PRO SP2 and upgraded the XP Home SP2 fine.
  2. Have a customer with Home, SP2. Has a copy of PRO retail to to upgrade with. Tried to drop the CD in and upgrade though it says it cannot becouse it is trying to upgrade a newer version of XP. I know this is retail, so I think it is becouse the home has SP2 on it. SP2 Cannot be removed (Not on add/remove list) I have an OEM PRO SP2, but no Retail SP2 CDs. Any quick answer? I guess I can change the code to make the OEM PRO SP2 to a Retail PRO SP2, or I can slipstream, though I am not sure the slipstream will work. TIA. Scott
  3. Thanks Much! Real slick program, worked like a charm.
  4. I have an app that I would really like to run on 2000 server, however it makes sure that it will not install on server, only pro. I really don't want to rebuild the machine with pro. Are there any good registry settings to make a installer think it is installing on Pro? I tried the driver tweak, but it is not as easy, as the registry entry for prouduct just is "windows 2000" TIA Scott
