  1. Hi all, If there is anyone thats interested, the problem was in the MSDTC Security Configuration on the Client side. Of some reason the "Transaction Manager Communication"-checkbox Allow Inbound was unchecked. Sorry if I was wasting anybodys time! all the best//pmw
  2. Hi, I have a fat WinForm-app made in vs2003 and have used Com+ to handle db-access and transactions. The app is deployed as an msi and installed on my clients pc's. The installer installs the com+ projects on each of the pc's. This worked fine until I moved the solution to vs2008 and framework 3.0. Now I get all sorts of Exceptions telling me that MSDTC is denying access, and as far as we know (and can see) nothing has been modified regarding authorizationConfig on eather clients and SQL-server. Is there anyone who knows if there are some generall issues regarding the use of com+ with vs2008 and frw 3.0 Best regards//pmw
  3. Hi (Mr) Office experts ! I have a problem that is as follows : A have a C#-applikation that reads Outlook Appointments via the Office 2002 Interup Assemblies and stores them in a Database. In Outlook there is a field on the appointment named "Contacts" (not the scheduling-tab) on the lower left of the Appointmentsform. This field I cant find in the AppointmentClass. Its no problem if it's a meeting, then i can get the names from the RequieredAttendees / OptionalAttendees. Best regards//PMW
  4. Hi, I have a C#-application that uses CDO to access Outlook 2003 to retrieve appointment items. This is working just fine, but i need to apply a filter and i have the following that works: using Outlook; private Outlook.NameSpace m_NameSpace; private Outlook.Explorer m_Explorer; private Outlook.MAPIFolder m_Folder; private Outlook.Folders m_Folders; m_Folder = m_NameSpace.GetDefaultFolder(OlDefaultFolders.olFolderCalendar); Outlook.Items OutItems; string tempFilter = "[billingInformation] = ''"; OutItems = m_Folder.Items if (OutItems.Count > maxNoOfItems // Here i get the exception { } ... but when i replace m_Folder.Items with m_Folder.Items.Restrict(tempFilter); i get an exception that reads "Input string was not in a correct format." please help//Per-Martin
  5. .. Sorry no change, , the rightclick-menu just as before .... Thanks anyway for the tip !
  6. Hi thanks for the quick replay ! ... But unfortunatly when I rightclick on the disk all options except "Delete partition" is dimmed out. If it had been that easy I wouldnt bother this forum.
  7. Dear experts on hardware and simular strange topics ! This is my story : I had an AMD-PC with a 150 GB-disk and we were all very happy until one day the () PC stopped and a smell of smoke forced oss to place my sons beloved maskin in the garage, and the disaster was complete. Now, since I dont want my teenager to commit suicide and quit school, I purchased a new PC with an Intel-processor and an other brand of motherboard. Installing the PC with all its artifacts came out nice (except for the CD-player) ... but the old 150GB-disk dont want to show itself the way I want. The disks are Master (the new) and Slave (the old) on the same IDE-cable (brand new). At some time I managed to, via the installation-CD, do a chkdsk on the old. As you can see in the attached file I can view the disk in the XP-DiskManager but I cant do anything with it. It also have no Volume-label In the help I can read about the DiskPart-command, but I'm a bit scared to use it because the 150GB-disk contains somewhat 100 GB VERY IMPORTANT files and stuff. Best regards and thank you in advance ! Per-Martin Wretlind (Sweden)MSFN_OldDisk.zip
