I have a properly licensed copy of winxp pro that I need to install in my PC computer ( I do not have any version of windows installed at present, only Linux, partitions etc are all ready with a nice fat32 reserved for windoze, which the installer will convert to NTFS I suppose). My machine has a SCSI hdd on an SIIG AP-20 scsi controller. Problem is that windows installer CD does not have drivers for that card, so, I guess I have to press 'F6' during the setup and it should load the drivers from a driver floppy (which I've made). Problem is that my floppy controller had malfunctioned some time ago and this will probably not work. I have been trying to remaster the winxp cd (called 'slipstreaming', I believe) to include the SCSI drivers (which I have from the driver CD). To that end, I've been following the HOWTO at: http://greenmachine.msfnhosting.com/READING/addraid.htm I ripped the contents of the winxp install cd into an ISO image and uncompressed it into a directory. In step one, I have to add sourcediskfiles, hardwareidsdatabase and scsi.load & scsi parameters to the txtsetup.sif file in the i386 directory. I looked at the driver INF files for my SCSI controller (I have the files posted on http://www.ph.utexas.edu/~daneel/AP20/ ) I can't seem to locate all the relevant sections to enter into the txtsetup.sif file. The sourcediskfiles section seems to be empty, and the SCSI.* sections seem to be missing. Also, in step 3, where is the WINNT.SIF file located? I can't seem to find it. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your attention. Regards, AR
