  1. Hey guys! The disk now has 85 drivers on it. And it still fits on a single 1.44MB floppy. Also got a .com now.... http://www.netbootdisk.com B)
  2. Hello again! Just an update, my site recently changed URL's. Teach me for not having a .com The bootdisk has seen quite a bit of work (+ late nights, softdrink, beer, lost sleep, etc) since I oringinally posted this thread. Now at Version 4.91, which includes 77 different network card drivers packed on to single 1.44MB floppy disk. It's a tight fit, but I think there'll be room for one or two more
  3. I think that darph is trying to say is that 2000 Pro is better than XP Home. I'd have to agree too - since XP home doesn't have NTFS/domain support, and 2000 is more speeder on older boxes when compared to XP IMO.
  4. Sounds like you have a DNS / name resolving problem. Might be a good idea to check the event logs on the workstation/server too.
  5. Figured some of you guys might be interested in the network bootdisk I've put together. The disk includes the m$ network client, currently 85* different NIC drivers, CD-ROM, DNS, packet driver, mouse support -- all on a single 1.44MB Floppy disk! More infomation, the the files for building the disk, is on my website: http://www.NetBootdisk.com Works well with Ghost multicasting too Enjoy! *might have problems with 1 or 2 though. Still always next verison EDIT: New website! EDIT 2: New URL
  6. I'm in the process of making a slipstreamed/unattended Windows 2000 Professional CD-ROM. The CD boots to DOS, does pre OS partitioning, formatting, etc, then runs windows setup in unattended mode using winnt.exe /s ... /u ... etc (Why DOS, and not extracting the Win2k CD bootsector? -- I want the ability to run my own Pre-OS Questions/menu interface to adjust the unattended file on the fly. ) Now all works good, until the 2nd phase of file copying during the text mode setup. It compains that bachsb~1.rmi along with many other *.RMI that they can not be copied. However the files are actually on the CD (in *.rm_ compressed form) like they were on the original CD - which worked fine. DOS 8.3 ~1, ~2 filenaming doesn't appear to be broken either. Any one know how to fix this? Or know how to remove the files alltogether? These are only BS MIDI sample music anyway
