i just signed up to post that regional settings thingy too =o i had bosnian as the setting for the standard and formats, and bosnian as the language for non-unicode programs nlite would hang after you select the folder with the xp files, and process explorer was showing that the mscoree.dll file was the trouble maker i googled it and it turned out to be part of .net 2.0, and since 1.1 had the same issue with the bosnian langage (the installation wouldn't complete) i too figured it had to be the same solution - change your regional settings to US for example just finished nlite-ning my sp3 copy with sata drivers for a friends laptop thanks to nuhi for this piece of art and greetings from bosnia =)

no problem dude, i actually signed up on this forum just to share my "info" and you dont have to disable windowblinds, there is an option in windowblinds where you can add programs to an exception list, like..to ignore specified exe files from skinning peace n greetingz from boznia & hercegovina (YES! We DO have computers =))

my fable used to crash everytime i started it... i tried several things like driver update, disabling the the onboard soundcard and some no-cd patch i left the game installed on my drive, some days later i installed the vista transformation pack for windows xp....and again some days later i tried running the game again - and it worked. my guess would be that my previous windows theme made fable.exe crash, i used windowblinds 4.6 ...just my 0.2$.
