This is a post that I hope MS will take note of. The issue: Many, many of us would like to be able to format a single partition of a hard drive without having to repartition and reformat the whole drive. Proof of the need is in the number of post here and in other forums from gamers to sysadmin's. This may not have been much of an issue when drives were smaller, but with the size of drives reaching 500gig, I don't know anybody, with our level of knowledge, that dosent partition the drive. I call on Microsoft to create a section in the SETUPMGR or give us the ability to add a switch of some kind to the unattend.txt / winnt.sif that will allow us to format the C drive so that we can perform a clean install. If an MS rep monitors this forum I think we would all be interested in a response, if for no other reason than to know that MS is aware of the need. Jon A. MCSE CCNA N+ A+
